I’m a 2D animator and motion designer based in South Wales. I started out in March 2018 and I’ve been creating characters, constructing explainer videos and bringing brands to life ever since. I approach every project with two mindsets: The playful creativity and imagination of an animator, and the problem solving mindset and attention to detail of a graphic designer.

I studied Graphic Communication at the University of South Wales where I discovered a love for motion design. After graduating, I worked as a freelancer for 4 years, becoming a regular and reliable go-to for many agencies in and around Cardiff. In those years I had the opportunity to work on all sorts of projects and collaborate with a wide range of clients ranging from exciting up and coming brands like Bibado to well known names like Amazon Prime and BBC Bitesize

In late 2020, I returned to USW and completed a Masters in Animation, deepening my understanding and sharpening my skills in animation, production and storytelling. After this, I started a full time position as a middleweight motion designer at Rockadove Video Production. This was an amazing opportunity as I was able to learn from and collaborate with a skilled and experienced team of video editors, directors of photography, graphic designers, animators and 3D specialists. Here I was able to work on much bigger, more exciting projects and develop my skills in so many areas such as 3D modelling and animation, frame by frame animation and mixed media motion graphics.

Now I'm looking for my next full time opportunity, whether that be in the world of design, advertising, games, or film and TV. Whatever my future role, I cannot wait to take on new projects, tackle new challenges, meet new people and learn new skills - I never want to stop learning.

THE TECHNICAL STUFF
I work primarily in Adobe After Effects with Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere Pro to back it up. I'm also proficient in Toon Boom Harmony having completed both the Rigging for Production and Animation Toolbox courses at Cloth Cat Academy, and I am constantly pushing myself to improve my skills and knowledge in this software and others such as Blender. I also utilise frame by frame animation, allowing me to add unique, handmade flourishes and fluid effects to my work.
